Goat Care Basics
New to goats? Looking to possibly add goats to your homestead? Maybe looking for something fun to do on a Saturday. Come spend time with our herd! Vanity Farms offers one Goat Basic Care class every third Saturday in a month. Learn what it takes to care for adult and baby goats—we’ll discuss hay options, herd management styles, what to expect during pregnancy, housing needs, parasite mitigation, hoof trimming and so much more. Don’t forget the baby goats!
Availability is limited and baby goats are also subject to availability.
Book a Class
Classes start at $15 per person and you can expect to spend 1-1/2 to 2 hours learning about goats and goat care. This class is hands-on and you could get a little (or a lot) dirty. Goats can be affectionate, if they like you they might try to get your attention which might include trying to put their hooves on you (especially for treats). Please be aware of this possibility and please dress appropriately.
